Job Specification Domiciliary care is provided to people who still live in their own homes but who require additional support with household tasks, personal care or any other activity that allows them to maintain their independence and quality of life, always ensuring the service user's right to privacy.

As a care assistant you would help people who have difficulties with their daily activities.
Support the service user to live a dignified and independent life within the community.
It would be useful if you had experience in a caring role, but not essential.
When you apply for this position a CRB check will be required.
At Precious Support Services we feel that a good care assistant is someone who has a friendly and caring approach and the ability to relate to people from a variety of backgrounds. Patience and good communication skills are also important.
Responsibilities include the following: Assisting with Personal Care, including skin care, washing, bathing, showering, oral care, toileting (assisting with use of commode & emptying) dressing and hair care. Enabling mobility, including Moving & Handling transfers, pushing wheelchair, checking of specialist equipment - Using manual handling equipment as specified. Dietetics, including assistance with preparing, serving meals, storing of foods. Feed service users who need assistance with feeding - wash up, tidy away and clean kitchen / dining room. Assist client to fulfil activities of daily living e.g. working, leisure, shopping and education. To assist with medication once training has been undertaken and as documented in the service user care plan. Day to day household tasks e.g. changing beds, laundry, ironing, shopping. Respect for client confidentiality and discretion at all times. To report significant changes in the service users health and circumstances, to the duty manager. Keep accurate records of care visits. To adhere to the policies, procedures and guidelines of the Company. Training and Development: Opportunities for fully funded training may be available to help achieve an NVQ Level 2, 3 or 5 in Health & Social Care.
There will be mandatory training given to update your skills and knowledge which will be funded.
